Ugh, I hate the South African accent. Although having said that, I mean the die-hard, ‘bru, fully, yawh’ type accent. It actually makes me wince visibly. Thankfully even my husbands mild north yorkshire accent sounds better to me. I went to a posh school, so when the mood strikes, I sound like the Queen of England. But when I’m relaxed, then I annoy myself, with the way I sound. So, so, South Efrican. UGH.

I find the NZ accent only slightly less harsh on the eardrums than the SA accent. It’s like an extremely ocker Aussie, only much worse. This is why I love British men (particularly Irish and Scottish ones). They just sound love-er-ly.

I also wanted to add, that I just *love* what it sounds like when he says, “Mahe Mahe Tuna” etc. I’ve been repeating it to myself, and then giggling. Using it in my daily speech in stead of etc. In other words, “Yesterday, I thought about point a and point b, muhee muhee tuhuuna (waves hand in gesture of ‘etc’). Yes I am weird. Thanks for asking. I hear that a lot, muhee muhee tuhuuna.

Trish, you and I are very alike, we acknowledge the ‘coolness’ of the stunt, but I agree, I also wondered about the timing of the jump, and having the camera man there, and an obliging marlin. Maybe the bit underwater was filmed at a local aquarium?? Anyhoo, if anyone was going to do this for real, and actually get it right? Only the kiwi’s would be crazy enough to try, I reckon!

That doesn’t look real. I don’t believe it. I mean, it looks awesome, but i reckon its a joke. You can’t wrestle a marlin. And how did they get the camera in the right place at the right time? Naahhh.. bollocks.

ROFL. Did see on this on TV – what an idiot and no you won’t see me jumping from a helicopter onto some poor unsuspecting fish. Knowing my luck it would be a shark!!! LOL
