Good Job Websites

I still think that there is some value in job search websites, don’t you? For awhile, people shunned them, with that age old term “it’s WHO you know”.

To a large extent I agree with that statement, because the powers of social media marketing are well documented, and I myself have experienced a large degree of success with my graphic design business, thanks to social media (facebook/blogging etc), but I still believe that you can find your dream job by looking online. Sure, sometimes endless job searching can seem fruitless, but instead of using it to find *one* specific job, they actually do offer incredible value in knowing which companies are looking to hire a person with skills like yours, and when they tend to hire them (in the case of 3/6/12 month contracts) and where they’re located of course.

If they company leave a contact name, you could always get in touch through other means, and that may in turn lead to the ‘in’ you’re looking for.

I’d be interested to hear how many of you have experienced success with such sites, and if so, which ones?
